A Rental Company

A rental company that I was working with had an employee that did not want to pay $196.78 per month for their portion (40%) of the Gold plan, the plan that the company was offering. Instead, he paid the penalty for not having insurance, which cost him $1154 per year, or $96.17 per month.  I showed the business how they could offer multiple plans and take the amount they would have contributed ($295.18) and apply it to any plan that the employee wanted.  The employee could then chose the cheapest plan, apply the $295.18 employer contribution to that plan and only pay the remaining amount, which was $51.62, a savings of $44.55 per month, or $534.56 annually compared to what he was paying as a penalty.  On top of that, he now had a cap on his max out-of-pocket medical expenses in the event that he had a bad year.

A painting Company

I recently worked with a painting company that was offering a gold health insurance plan.  I showed them how they could get better coverage for the same price, actually a dollar cheaper.
